The first Tri-State Hickory Event of the year is now in the books. A great time was had by all at the Donald Ross designed South Course at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, OH. One of our group said he "could play hickory golf here every day of the year." I believe we all felt that way.
Another interesting quote from our day at Mill Creek came from a golfer who noticed our clubs and outfits. After looking at the clubs he simply stated that "If I had to play these I would quit." Unfortunately, that is a all too common response. But, at the same time, that is what makes our experiences so unique.
Included are pictures from our day at Mill Creek. We are looking forward to another day of fellowship and hickory golf in July. Tentative plans call for Olde Avalon Golf Course in Warren Ohio. Special note of gratitude goes to David Shultz who drove 4 1/2 hours to play with us on Sunday. Also, David provided some of the photos.
